- Preparation of DPR of Access Road of Chainpur Seti Hydropower via LiDAR
Study Area:
The Preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the access road to the Chainpur Seti Hydropower Project was conducted in Bajhang District, a region characterized by rugged terrain and remote landscapes. The road was designed to provide critical access to the hydropower project site, ensuring smooth transportation of equipment and personnel.
Due to the steep slopes, varying elevations, and complex topography of the region, LiDAR technology was utilized to capture high-resolution terrain data. This approach allowed for the generation of accurate topographical maps, which were essential for designing an optimal road alignment that minimizes environmental impact and construction challenges.
Project Objectives:
LiDAR Data Acquisition: Use LiDAR technology to capture high-resolution topographic data of the proposed road alignment area. The data collected through airborne LiDAR provided detailed terrain information necessary for planning the access road.
Road Design and Planning: Utilize the LiDAR-derived data to develop a precise road design, ensuring that the access road aligns with the local topography. The design process considered minimizing environmental impacts and optimizing construction efficiency.
Preparation of DPR: A comprehensive Detailed Project Report (DPR) was prepared, which included the road alignment plan, cost estimates, environmental considerations, and construction strategies. The DPR served as a blueprint for the development of the access road.
Deliverables:
LiDAR Data and Digital Terrain Models (DTM): High-resolution DTMs derived from LiDAR data provided a detailed view of the terrain, helping to plan an optimal road alignment across the challenging landscape.
Road Alignment Plans: The final road design included precise alignment plans that took into account the varying terrain, ensuring a safe and efficient access route to the hydropower site.
Detailed Project Report (DPR): A comprehensive DPR was produced, outlining the entire road design process, including feasibility studies, cost analysis, environmental assessments, and construction plans.
